The California Festival of Beers is one of the largest and is the oldest regional beer festivals in California. This year we celebrate our 31st Annual California Festival of Beers. Throughout the past years, attendees have sampled, learned, and enjoyed beers from breweries locally and from around the world. Growing from a humble event in the Creamery parking lot in San Luis Obispo, the California Festival of Beers has become one of the oldest festivals paying tribute to beer.
BeerFest, as it is affectionately named, has become a San Luis Obispo institution and continues to bring over 2,500 attendees each year to California's Central Coast. Because of the event's popularity, each year the event sells out.
The Festival is a benefit event managed and maintained by Hospice of San Luis Obispo County (Hospice SLO County), a non-profit grief counseling organization, and receives 100% of the proceeds.
This year's BeerFest will have two different beer tasting ticket types: Aficionado and General Admission. Aficionado ticketholders will have access to an Aficionado Only tasting featuring beer and small bites from 11am - noon, in addition to Aficionado Only bathroom facilities and an afternoon seminar. At noon, all ticketholders have access to the BeerFest featuring craft beers, live music, and sunshine. Each year the Festival draws a wider selection of beer, cuisine, entertainment and sponsors than years past, and this year is no exception. The BeerFest Grand Tasting will take place in the Madonna Inn Meadows, a beautiful expanse of lawn nestled between parks, mountains, and hotels in San Luis Obispo, California. The meadow is the perfect location to spend the day enjoying the Grand Tasting with your friends and grass between your toes.
We'll continue to update our website until the very last day of the event. If you'd like to have up to date information about this year's Festival and participants please like our page on Facebook, and check back often.
